For most patients, having visitors during a hospital stay helps them to heal because they have an opportunity to recieve the love and support from family and friends. It also helps families to have a chance to learn about their loved one's condition and what to expect when they come home.
We respect your need to be there for your loved ones during their hospitalization and while they recover. We have established visiting hours for our patients so that they will have time to see family and friends and have plenty of time for rest, medical care, tests and procedures.
Visitor Guidelines:
-
Please do not visit if you have a cold, flu, cough, diarrhea, or other contagious illness.
-
Please limit the number of visitors in a patient room to a reasonable number. Too many visitors make it harder for staff to provide care for patients and for patients to relax and recover.
-
Exercise discretion when visiting with young children by limiting the number and duration of visits. Never leave children unattended in a patient room or waiting areas.
-
Check with to nurse or physician before bringing candy, food or beverages to share with your loved ones. Many of our patients have special requirements for their diet because of their condition, tests/procedures, or medication.
-
Do no bring weapons including knives and guns, drugs or alcohol or any other illegal substances to the hospital
-
Shoes and proper attire are necessary.
-
Do not tamper with medical devices or equipment.
-
Check with the nurse's station before bringing anything that needs to be plugged in. Cell phones are not to be used within the building, please exit the building to use your cell phone.
Visitors should check with the nurses station before entering any patient’s room which has a sign indicating it as an isolation room. In some cases, the physician or family or patient will request no visitors. We adhere to physician orders and respect the right of the patient to have no visitors while in our care.
