Chesterfield General Hospital is teaming up with the Wounded Warrior Project for the Carolinas Military Mission.

This mission involves sending care packages to both active troops and wounded warriors during their rehabilitation. 

Chesterfield General Hospital will be accepting donations in the hospital lobby every Wednesday from 8 a.m. – Noon.
Please review the supply list for items needed. We welcome your support!

If you would like to submit a deployed soldier’s mailing information to receive a care package, please e-mail your information or call Jennifer Grogg at (843) 320-3376 for more information or to get involved with the Carolinas Military Mission.

Include: Name of Soldier, Rank, FPO or APO, Military Branch, Name, E-mail and Phone number of person requesting care package.

Supplies for Troops and Wounded Warriors

LETTERS OF SUPPORT Medical scissors (safety tips, small size) *they use these for everything White and black socks – crew cut Undershirts, thermal shirts, underwear (Under Armour, Champion, etc.), sports bras Basketball shorts, golf shirts, t-shirts, sweatpants, swimming trunks/one-piece suits Playing cards, games, movies, music Head lamps for helmets Hand/foot warmers, skull caps, thin face masks AA and AAA batteries Small paperback books, magazines Ear buds Twin size sheets and small pillows – new Toiletry bags (with handles or loops to make it easier to carry for those with crutches or walkers) High carb, high protein snacks (any non-perishable kinds) Energy bars, protein bars, power bars, peanut butter crackers 5hr Energy or any high carb energy drinks Beef Jerky, Slim Jims Granola bars, trail mix, nuts, sunflower seeds, individual boxes of cereal Crystal Light or small packs to flavor water Instant coffee, tea, hot chocolate, apple cider or powdered drinks - individual size Gum/candy Hot sauce – mini size plastic bottles

Hygiene items Wisp Disposable Toothbrushes, mouthwash, dental floss/picks CarMex or Chapstick Lip Balm Eye drops (relieves irritation from sand) Razors (they love the kind with shaving cream in the handle) Shaving cream (non-aerosol only) Q-TIPS – travel size packets Shampoo/soap – travel size Liquid, bar or waterless soap Tooth brushes / tooth paste – travel size Hand lotion, hand sanitizer – travel size Baby wipes – travel size packs Band-Aids (small / large), Neosporin Moleskin (pads for sore feet) Deodorant (roll-on or gel) Feminine hygiene products (wrapped/travel size) Flip-flop style sandals for shower (rubber soles) Laundry soap (small single load packs, trial size or tablets) TRAVEL SIZES ONLY NO AEROSOLS NOTHING THAT WILL MELT
